The Cittaslow Brock McLeod Best Farm Practices Award

In memory of Brock, Cittaslow Cowichan celebrates Cowichan farms and farmers who strive for exceptional practices with an annual award.

Brock was always researching and refining his definition of what a “good farm” meant, so that we could incorporate those values at Makaria Farm. He loved a thoughtful, informed discussion about certified organic vs. uncertified organic vs. local vs. GMO vs. chemicals, monocropping and industrial farming vs. hobby farms or market gardens: what are good farm practices?
